CUBE/Dance of Evolution: The Journey between External and Internal Realities

Within the vast expanse of our universe, the journey of a single entity can mirror the profound interplay of internal and external influences. Through my interactive close-loop game work, I present the tale of the Cube and its delicate dance between realms by design a two-player game.

In Client A, the Cube represents the wanderer, navigating the labyrinth of life's external experiences. Its subtle yet deliberate movements highlight its encounters with pivotal moments, each interaction leaving an indelible mark on its essence.

Conversely, Client B captures the Cube's introspective odyssey. This dimension radiates with ephemeral landscapes, evolving, shifting, and resonating in response to the Cube's external experiences. It's a visualization of growth, introspection, and the transformative power of self-reflection.

This work aims to help individuals delve deeper into understanding and introspecting oneself. Central to this is "self-ecological stability" and "dialogue with oneself." What constitutes the self? And how does it influence our inner and outer worlds? In life's journey, what remains constant (like self-ecology), and what changes (like external factors)? Are these trivial changes a result of our making, or are they fated?

In the absence of player interaction, the inner and outer realms form a stable closed-loop system. However, when a player intervenes, this balance is disrupted. While the system tends to regain its equilibrium, minor shifts during this period, such as changes in weather, can affect not just the tiny block but also the player's feelings. Can these shifts be considered the journey of the small block itself? Specific unconventional actions can cause the system to collapse, and these actions are incorporated into the game interface, serving as an interpretation of the small block's ecosystem.

 By presenting the inner and outer aspects of the small block through a game, one can directly perceive their interrelation. Participation from two players elevates this experience, transforming individual communication into an interaction between two entities, facilitating a better understanding of oneself.

My creation is an observation of the Cube's voyage and a testament to the intricate balance of change and stability, freedom and restraint. It delves into moments when small shifts pave the way for monumental transformations. I invite audiences to witness the eternal dance of the Cube, a reflection of our journey between the tangible and intangible realms of existence.
